Rook’s Theros PTQ

Join Rook’s for our Pro Tour Theros Qualifier! The winner of this PTQ will be getting a free flight to Dublin, Ireland to play in Pro Tour Theros.  Please join us to make this event a huge success. Rook’s will be running the main event as well as several side events. Come play in the main event or just come to trade and participate in some side events. Keep reading for all the information!

Player registration will occur between 9:00 – 11:30 A.M May 25th.
Completed decklists will be collected during the player meeting at Noon.

Format

The format is Standard Constructed. Players will create 60 card decks using any cards from the following sets.

• Innistrad
• Dark Ascension
• Avacyn Restored
• Magic 2013
• Return to Ravnica
• Gatecrash
• Dragon’s Maze

Number of Rounds and Playoff

Round Length: 50 minutes, best 2 out of 3 games

Prizes

Prizes will be based on attendence. This is a sample prize distribution for 120 players. Prizes will be adjusted up or down depending on participation.

The final set of the Ravinica Block, Dragon’s Maze is almost here! Join us to push your guild through the Dragon’s Maze before any of the other Guilds for a special prize! You will be able to chose your favorite guild and play in the Prerelease with special cards from that Guild. All ten Guilds will be available. Sign up early to make sure you are recruited to the Guild of your choice!

Dragon’s Maze Event Information

Event Cost: 
$30.
This includes 5 booster packs of the Dragon’s Maze plus one of your chosen guild, a guild symbol sticker, a spindown life counter, and a note from your guild master.

Sealed using the product distributed to you based on your chosen guild.

Side Event Information

Midnight Prerelease:
After Friday Night Magic at exactly 12:01 pm, we will host our first Prerelease for this set on Saturday April 27th. If you are willing and able to stay up for this exciting 3 round event, you will be one of the first people in the world to enjoy this exciting return to one of our favorite worlds! For $25 you will receive 5 boosters of Dragon’s Maze, 1 guild booster, a spin down life counter, a guild sticker, and a note from your guild master. Prizes tbd. 

Sunday Two-headed Giant:
Enjoy this new set with a friend! At 1:00 pm on Sunday April 28th, two-person teams will compete in the fun and cooperative event. Each person will be able to pick their own guild but you must win together to have a shot at the prizes! Each team will enter the event for $40 and receive 6 booster packs of Dragon’s Maze as well as two chosen faction packs and all the goodies that come along with each faction. This is always one of the most fun events of every Prerelease. Sign up today to avoid missing out!
